BEFORE BABY MATTHEW WAKES AGAIN!!

Well, it's been one of those days when I feel I've accomplished very little.  Matthew has been awake most of the day and boy it's difficult to get much work done while holding him.  My two other boys have been very patient with the fact that their little brother takes-up much of mommy's time.

Here's my attempt at a post while Matthew finally sleeps. ;)

This is a card that I've created for my sister who has just moved into a brand new home.  It was my first gatefold card...alot of fun to make!
Card Details:
  • stamps-The Greeting Farm's My House(both image and sentiment)
The house image was stamped with StazOn Jet Black and coloured with Nicholson's Watercolour Sheets.  Judy Kins Diamond Glaze was placed on all the windows(although not visible in the photos).  I added some sparkle to the flower boxes with Diamond Stickles.  The sentiment was inked-up with Dew Drop's Tuxedo Black.

  • paper-design paper is 2007 Cloud 9 Design(Sparkle Blueberry Punch Sorbet), both green and blue cardstock is Bazzill
  • die cuts-Spellbinder's Nesties( Small Scalloped Ovals) and Shapeabilities(Fancy Tags)
  • pearls-Hero Arts
  • ribbon-Offray

Most of the wonderful supplies used in the creation of this card were obtained from the Fabulous Phebe at The Town Scrapper.  Check out Phebe's new line of  ADORABLE Victoria Case stamps, exclusive to her store, HERE and HERE!

A Quick Monday Morning Post

Good Monday Morning!

Thought I'd share a little card I created for friends to welcome their new little one.  The tiny hole in the top left corner was made in order that I may attach it to the gift bag.

The little girl bear was inked-up with StazOn Jet Black and painted with Nicholson's Watercolour Sheets.  Her hair was given some shine (although not visible in the photo) with Judy Kin's Diamond Glaze.  The sentiment was stamped with Dew Drop's Memento Tuxedo Black and Dew Drop's VersaMagic Jumbo Java.  Jumbo Java was also used for the stitched border and the inked edges.

Happy Thursday!!

I've been waiting this week to post a card with another of Phebe's/The Town Scrapper's new SWEETIE PIE stamp images. We, Phebe's design team, have been dying for the stamps to physically arrive at the store (The Town Scrapper), but nothing YET... Their grand arrival is expected any day now!!!! Stay tuned, maybe it will be tomorrow?!

Soooooo, today's post is card I made for our friends' new arrival. This card was quite teeny as I wanted to attach it to a gift bag of a coordinating colour. It features an adorable lion stamp from The Greeting Farm's Wild Things stamp set.

Card Details:

  • stamps-image is from The Greeting Farm's Wild Things set, sentiment is My Favorite Things' Lots a Love set, stitching from Stitched Borders by Sassafrass Lass (one of my most used and loved sets)

Lion was inked-up with StazOn Jet Black and stamped on Fabriano 140 lbs cold pressed watercolour paper. He was painted with Nicholson's Peerless Transparent Watercolour sheets. The lion's hair was given some shine using Judy Kins' Diamond Glaze and his mane was made to sparkle with the help of Diamond Stickles. The sentiment and stitching were stamped with Versafine Onyz Black. In order to provide a 3D effect, I stamped and painted the lion image twice and layered one on top of the other using a "pop dot" type adhesive.

  • patterned design paper-Oh Baby! Boy by Basic Grey

  • cardstock-Core'dination

  • ribbon-The Paper Studio

  • bling-Brenda Walton's Adhesive Rhinestones by K&Company

I hope to make and post addition cards made with this extra-cute stamp set. There is also a mouse (it looks like a mouse to me??), bear, bird and monkey featured in this collection.

The Greeting Farm and My Favorite Things stamps, as well as the Core'dinations cardstock was obtained from PHEBE, THE TOWN SCRAPPER.

Have a terrific Friday and a wonderful weekend!!!
