Good Thursday Afternoon!

I managed to obtain one of the new fantastic SWEETIE PIE images and created this card. As the stamps are not quite available YET from Phebe The Town Scrapper, I printed the image on watercolour paper. I realized watercolours were going to be pretty tricky to use when painting an image that has printed with ink from the printer, but yikes!!! You may have noticed the ink from Maggie's freckles on her left cheek bled, as well as in a few less obvious places. Can't wait until the stamps come in and I can use my STAZ ON JET BLACK ink!

Card Details:
  • stamp-image is HUMBLE PIE'S SWEETIE PIE, "Maggie with Strawberry", sentiment is Amy R.'s "Beach Sentiments"

Maggie's image was printed on Fabriano 140 lbs cold pressed Watercolour paper. She was painted using Nicholson's Peerless Transparent Watercolour sheets and Reeves Watercolour Pencils. Maggie's hair was given some shine thanks to Judi Kin's Diamond Glaze. The sparkle on her sandals and hairbands was created using Crystal Stickles. The sentiment was inked-up with VersaFine Onyx Black.

Let me fill you in a bit on the new line of stamps created exclusively for The Town Scrapper, HUMBLE PIE'S SWEETIE PIE. This is a new endeavor for Phebe (The Town Scrapper) and I am absolutely delighted to be a part of the excitement!! Heather Hambleton is the talented designer of the adorable stamp images. Heather has shared this information about herself...

Hi there! My name is Heather Hambleton and I have recently started designing stamps for a line called Humble Pie! I live in Southwestern Ontario, Canada, and I am a former Beal Art student. I have been drawing since I was old enough to hold up a pencil. Drawing is definitely what I would call my one true passion in life! But when I’m not drawing I can be found at the gym or reading a good book. I am super excited to be designing for Phebe at ‘The Town Scrapper as she is just such an exceptionally amazing lady! Hopefully all goes well and you will like my images as much as she does!! -Heather

HELLOOOOO!!

It's been ages and ages since my last post...the challenges of the 1st Trimester proved to be a little more than I bargained for :0)! I feel like I'm getting back into the swing of things now. My apologies to Phebe, The Town Scrapper, as I have allowed my card-making slide BIG-TIME!

I would like to share a card I made for a good friend who is expecting her 2nd bundle-of-joy right around Christmas. This card features C.C. Designs' Gingersnaps' "Oh Baby". I cased the idea of pop dotting the pregnant belly, too cute. Unfortunately, I don't remember the creator of the card or the website on which I saw it.
Card Details:
  • stamps-Gingersnaps' "Oh Baby", stitching is Sassafras Lass's Stitched Borders

Image was stamped with Staz On Jet Black and coloured using Nicholson's Transparent Water Colors. Text was stamped with VersaFine Onyx Black.

  • patterned paper-K I Memories' Baby Cakes
  • glitter-headband sparkle is Diamond Stickles
  • scalloped circle diecuts-Nesties
  • ribbon-Offray

Most supplies used to create this card....THE TOWN SCRAPPER!
