Happy BELATED New Year!

I hope this post finds everyone well and looking forward to a brand new year.

This year brings many exciting changes for the great store, THE TOWN SCRAPPER, (for which I am a design team member) and its terrific owner, PHEBE.  Phebe will soon be announcing the grand opening of her ON-LINE STORE!!  Please stayed tuned for all the details....

Phebe partnered with VICTORIA CASE in 2010, introducing a beautiful line of stamps exclusive to THE TOWN SCRAPPER.  Be sure to take a peek at available images, HERE

Good Intentions...

Hello!!

Well, I had intended to be a much better blogger this past week, but the week slipped away much too quickly.  I'll give it another shot this week. ;)
Vintage-look Christmas Tags

Today I thought I 'd share the project that has consumed every free minute I've had for the past 2+ weeks.  My sister asked that I make some holiday themed tags for her and I was happy to take on the job.  Now, I must admit that I have not made many tags in the past, so I thought I'd surf the net for some ideas.  Wow, did I see some beautiful creations!  There was one tag in particular however, that really caught my eye.  It was from the following gorgeous tag that I borrowed the tag layout.
Do you recognize these tags?  I would love to credit the talented crafter who created these, but I saved only the photo, neglecting to take note of the site address from which they were found.  Have you ever found a site you loved thinking you would stop by again?  Easier said than done, I'm afraid if you haven't saved the address. :(  I'm chalking this one up as a lesson learned.

Enjoy the rest of the week...hoping to back with another post soon!

It's Showcase Monday at THE TOWN SCRAPPER!!

Good Morning All!

I've been MIA for a bit folks, going to try to do little more posting before Christmas.  This morning I'd like to share a card I made for THE TOWN SCRAPPER'S SHOWCASE MONDAY.  The image featured is C.C. Designs' Swiss Pixie Nora.  Nora is looking so sweet, all bundled-up, ready for the chilly winter weather.

This was my first attempt at double-sided adhesive and glitter. It is quite a messy undertaking, but I love the results.  What do you think?  Since making the card, I've picked-up some finer glitter and can't wait to give it a go.

A little reminder that THE TOWN SCRAPPER'S Brads and Eyelets Challenge is still underway.  You have until Thursday evening to take part in the fun and have a chance at winning the adorable MADE WITH LOVE LOLA pictured in the card below.

 Wishing you a crafty week,

Tricia

A little late...

My apologies, this post is a little late as this past weekend was a busy one for us.  The card you'll find below features The Town Scrapper's exclusive Victoria Case image, Snowfriends.  We are encouraging you to create a design without the use of embellishments for this week's CHALLENGE.  Are you in?  I must admit, I did find this request rather difficult.  As you'll soon see, I added a little teeny bit of  Polar White FLOWER SOFT to my card.  Would this addition be considered an embellishment??  If it is, please forgive me, this one was a real toughy for me. :)
How about our past Scrapette Zoe's, fabulous MAKE IT CRAFTY sketch!?

Now, if you can keep a secret,  here's what I would have done IF embellishments would have been permitted.  Shhhhhhh ;)

Can't wait to see what you create!!

EEEK! Are you afraid of mice?

TGIF!!  I couldn't wait for this weekend to arrive.  The boys are so excited to get dressed-up and head out the door on Sunday.  This year my eldest has chosen to dress-up as Iron Man.  No, he has not seen the movie, he is far too young...he'd be scared silly.  I haven't seen it either, I'm a real chicken when it comes to anything a little scary.  My middle guy had his heart set on Spiderman.  Our nine month old (boy, time flies) will dress as a little bat.  I will be sure to post a Halloween pic of the three boys all costumed-up.

Now, on to my Halloween-themed cards.  I made cards for each of the boys' teachers.  Spiderman, or SPIDER HENRY was the ideal choice.  WHIFF OF JOY offers this ADORABLE superhero as a FREE DIGI.  He can be found here...THANK YOU WHIFF OF JOY!!!

As you'll see I used the same image for both cards, but changed-up the layouts a bit.  I was absolutely dying to give double-sided adhesive sheets and glitter a shot.  Phebe, the TOWN SCRAPPER, generously provided me with some supplies so I was off to the races.  Henry was coloured with Prismacolor pencils and odourless mineral spirits.  The first card is based on a Mojo Monday card sketch.  Here are my two similar guinea pig creations:

Well, that's it for today.  Just a little reminder of THE TOWN SCRAPPER'S current BUTTON CHALLENGE now underway.  Check out all the details, HERE.

HAPPY HAUNTING!

A Terrifying Tiny Dancer??

Happy Tuesday!

I'd like to share a card I made for a friend's daughter.  Now, I know it sounds a little silly and looks a teeny bit strange, but I wasn't sure what this little girl would be for Halloween this year, so I decided to dress her in a tutu because I know she started dance classes about a month ago.  Do you think she looks a bit out of place on the front of this card?  I agree, this image is not the slightest bit scary, but I hope this 3 year old little girl will recognize herself as the adorable tiny dancer.

The sweet girl featured on the card is a Wags 'n Whiskers' stamp and is entitled Tiny Dancer.  I can think of so many little girls for whom this image would be perfect.  I believe she will also be making a number of Christmas card appearances...right off the Nutcracker Ballet stage!

Wishing you a SPOOKTACULAR week,

Tricia

Good Morning K.K. Fans!

Hi All!

Just had to do a quick post to share the spicy, yet adorable, Annette with you!  I picked-up a couple of Kraftin' Kimmie's little jems on Thanksgiving weekend and couldn't wait to ink them up.  The sentiment on the card is from The Greeting Farm and the juicy lipstick kiss is My Favorite Things.

A little reminder that today is your final day to enter The Town Scrapper's Sketch Challenge.  Check out all the details, HERE.  Tomorrow, The Town Scrapper will announce the lucky, randomly drawn, challenge winner's name and introduce the NEW weekly challenge.  Stayed tuned!!
