Happy Day

Good Thursday Afternoon!

Today, I thought I'd post a card I made for a special occasion in my littlest one's life.  I fell in love with this image by Tina Wenke (Stampavie) when I first laid eyes on it.  I picked-up this adorable stamp at the TownScrapper.

The image featured on the card pictured below is "Mouse in Nut Boat".

Card Details:

• stamps-mouse Stampavie image by Tina Wenke, "Matthew" created using Technique Tuesday's Big Timber Small Alphabet 

"Mouse in Nut Boat" image was inked-up with StazOn Jet Black , stamped on Fabriano 140 lbs cold pressed watercolour paper and coloured with Nicholson's Peerless Transparent Watercolour Sheets.  Sparkle was added to the water and bugs' trails using Diamond Stickles.  Brad flowers are  Making Memories, I believe.  Letters in Matthew's name were stamped with VersaFine Onyx Black.

A CARD FOR MOM

I have a little time before I begin to make dinner to post this card I made for my Mom last month.  I've used one of several Hanna stamps that I own.  There were so many adorable images created by this company.  It is my understanding that Hanna stamps are no longer available. :(

Without further ado, here is the card....

  I stamped Hanna on Neenah cardstock with StazOn Jet Black ink and coloured her with Prisma pencils and odourless mineral spirits.  The patterned design papers are October Afternoon.  The Paper Studio made the pink ribbon bow on Hanna's dress.  Flowers are products of Prima.  The brads are We R Memory Keepers and SEI.

IT'S OFFICIAL!!!

Good Monday Morning!

I'm delighted to announce that we have some new talent joining The TOWNSCRAPPER SCRAPETTES! Sending a big WELCOME to our new Blog Managers, DANIELLE and ROBIN and Senior Scrapettes, DAWN and DONNA!! Why not drop by their BLOGS? You'll definitely be inspired by their FAB work and it will be an opportunity to get an idea of the super summer of scrumptious crafting we have in store for you!

Unfortunately, the introduction of our new Blog Managers means that we must bid farewell to our current Blog Managers. LEAH has been a dream to work with; we will all miss her seemingly endless supply of energy and enthusiasm! Thank you Leah, please drop by the blog from time-to time. MARIA, I'm happy to share, is not leaving us....she is stepping-down as Blog Manager, but remains a Scrapette, YAY! We are also saying goodbye to Scrapettes, KIM and KYLIE! NEW SUPER SKETCH CHALLENGE AT THE TOWNSCRAPPER!

Good Morning!

It's another beautiful morning here, in Southern Ontario!  We've been spoiled this week in terms of weather.  Has summer arrived?  Hope you've been enjoying some wonderful weather, in your neck-of-the-woods.

Today, I'm excited to share the latest TownScrapper Challenge with you.  This week our stupendous Scrapette Maria has created a sensational sketch to assist in getting those creative juices flowing!  Why not play along?

I decided to work with "The Wedding Couple" this week...thought they made a sweet wedding anniversary image.

The couple was printed on Neenah cardstock and coloured with Prisma pencil crayons and odourless mineral spirits.  The sentiment was inked-up with VersaFine Onyx Black.

DT CALL AND NEW CHALLENGE AT THE TOWNSCRAPPER!!

Ok folks, I know it's been awhile since my last post.  I'm finding it quite challenging to say the least, to get my act together.  Little Matthew is 4 months old now and growing like a weed.  He is most definitely my easiest to care for.  It is the care of my older two boys that is more demanding and eating up a good amount of my precious crafting/posting time....my ME time.  ;)  Any suggestions for retaining one's sanity while childrearing? :)

My first bit of exciting information is that The TownScrapper is now in search of additional Design Team Members!!! 

We are a growing Canadian stamp company carrying many popular stamp lines, (including Magnolia, CC Designs, Magnolia, My Favorite Things, Motivet, Whiff of Joy, Wags 'n Whiskers, CC Designs, The Greeting Farm, Kraftin' Kimmie, Hanna, High Hopes, Scrapmagasinet) along with our very own line of rubber stamps, illustrated by Victoria Case, and, of course, a blog! We are looking for Senior Design Team members, who have a passion for paper crafts, and rubber stamps ! Your coloring of stamped images should be your strength - whether it's with Copics, or watercolor, or any other medium. Previous Design Team experience is not necessary, but would be an asset. We welcome international applicants. You should have an active blog (post at least 3 times per week).

We will be taking submissions starting immediately, until all positions are filled (so, the sooner you apply, the better your chances!). We are currently expanding our design team. So, if you are ready to become a part of a growing stamping and paper crafts company, we want to hear from you!

As a senior member of our Design Team, you will be asked to:

-Create 4 projects a month (using stamps carried by The Townscrapper), by participating in weekly blog challenges, and provide high-quality digital images of these projects to our Blog Managers.
-You may be asked to work with digital images.
-Mail two of your cards/month to Phebe at the Townscrapper, in Petrolia, Ontario, Canada
-Contribute a minimum of one (papercraft) tutorial (with photos and detailed instructions) per 6-month term, and one simple"tip or trick" per month
-Participate in Blog Hops, to promote release of new stamps, approximately every 2-3 months.
-On a weekly basis, help promote/advertise The Townscrapper on your personal blog and to any message boards where appropriate.
-Provide quality scans/photographs of all projects as well as posting any related tips/tricks
-Have an active blog presence on your own personal blog (posts at least 3 times per week)
-Commit to a 6-month term beginning immediately

New SKETCH Challenge at The TownScrapper!

Good Evening ALL!

It's been busy this weekend, in our home, with family and friends helping us celebrate our little one's Baptism.  We always have a wonderful time at get-togethers and this occasion was no exception.  Can't wait until our next family gathering in July!

This week we continue our Mother-Daughter showcase at The TownScrapper with the DYNAMIC FAIRBAIRN DUO.  Check out their fabulous creations HERE!

On Friday, our latest challenge was announced.  We encourage you to share with us your take on this sketch

Lola was stamped with StazOn Jet Black and painted with Peerless Watercolour Sheets.  Shine was added to her hair and purse using Judy Kins Diamond Glaze.  Crystal Stickles was placed on Lola's eyelids and toenails for a little sparkle.

A Rainy Tuesday Night Post

Well, I've managed to find some time to post a card tonight!  The card below is one I created for my little guys to give Nanny for Mother's Day.  My Mom (and Dad) has helped us out in so many different ways.  My boys have spent a lot of time with both my Mom and Dad and they are very close to them both.  I thought this My Favorite Things stamp set was a perfect choice for their card to her.  I'm quite certain that Mom wonders how she can achieve a little peace and tranquility when the boys are around.

The stamps were inked-up with Staz On Jet Black and coloured with peerless transparent watercolour sheets and watercolour pencils.  Sparkle was added using Diamond and Waterfall Stickles.  Distressing was created with Tim Holtz Antique Linen Distress Ink.
